Cumulus

200 x 450 cm, engraved, coated and varnished wood, 2013
production Merveilleux prétexte

The piece consists of waste materials: engraved wood plates that were used as matrices for the series of prints entitled Maisons [Houses]. These forms, initially designed to leave marks on the paper, are cut up, clogged with a coating, varnished and rearranged. Through these transformations, displaying a step backwards or impossible repairing, this remnant takes on visual autonomy.
